Segue abaixo resumo de um dos trabalhos elaborados pela equipe do CIEM apresentados no BCTRIMS 2015:
The prevalence of multiple sclerosis (MS) varies in different geographical areas and ethnic groups. Brazil extends over a large area and has a population with different racial backgrounds. As MS prevalence remains largely unknown in most parts of the country, the Brazilian Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (BCTRIMS) has launched a study to determine MS prevalence rate in the most representative cities of Brazil as distinct geographical and racial aspects are concerned. In this study the targeted cities were then named “key-geographical cities”.
